Playing games is actually better than sitting on the couch. Games such as the wii help promote exercise for the game player. More action and movements are made playing the game compared to just watching the screen. When playing the game one is distracted from all the action that food does not cross the mind on the other hand when watching television the only action is sitting on the couch.

Your fisrt article is much like mine; discussing how violent video games increase aggression. But your second article is new to me readings. I agree that playing video games decreases weight gain. If you really think about, the player has no time and desire to pick up food if the are playing a video game. Simply because the intensity of the game as well as their hands are occupied with the game controller.
